Automatic Audio was born from the creative partnership between Denis Mospanov and Luc Rogers. Initially, we united under the name 'Usonian Automatic' to bring our musical vision to life as a full-length double LP. Our shared passion for music's rich heritage naturally led us to delve into its reproduction. The world of vintage, high-efficiency, horn-loaded loudspeakers captivated us with their warm tones and effortless clarity. This sparked our determination to create speakers that checked all our boxes: delivering immersive midrange performance, powerful bass, a fatigue-free listening experience, and enduring build quality at an honest price. With respective backgrounds in engineering and instrument building, we have since been dedicated to expanding our skillsets within acoustic design and carpentry. Each build empowers us to further our learning, expand our team, and reinvest in our trade.

Since your speakers will be built to order, you can customize virtually any aspect from wood species, finish colour, and internal amplification. Review our customization form here.

You will need an amplifier to connect your loudspeakers to an audio source if you go for a ‘passive’ build. This connection is via speaker wire. Please ensure your amplifier's RMS wattage rating is equal or below the RMS handling of your speakers. If you have any doubts regarding a compatible amplifier pairing, we are here to help!

If you want to connect your speakers directly to your TV, streamer, or DJ mixer, opt for an ‘active’ build to have your speakers fitted with internal amplifiers that are tuned to extract every last ounce of performance from our speakers.

Once you've selected the model of speakers you'd like, our team will work with you to choose your build's customization options. Once choices are made, we will prepare a stained wood sample of your colour choice. This sample must be approved before it is applied to your build, in case revisions are requested. We will provide milestone updates throughout the production process. Our team will always be available to provide support such as amplifier pairing and wood-care suggestions.

Depending on the order volume and speaker model, it takes 4-8 weeks to build your loudspeakers from beginning of production, allow the stain to cure, and conduct quality control tests. Contact us to get the latest information on our build schedule, and when the next available slot is.

We offer pick-up on all orders if you are near our workshop in Montreal, including merch and accessory orders. We also offer a flat fee delivery to the Greater Montreal area on all speaker orders. All our products can be shipped internationally. Delivery rates for non-speaker items and Clovers are calculated at checkout. We stand by our products with a 2-year warranty for home use and a 6-month warranty for commercial use starting from the delivery date. Beyond these coverage periods, we will always be available to provide technical support.

After submitting an order via our webshop or via a direct invoice, the order can be cancelled with a full refund, minus processing fees if we are contacted within 24 hours of payment. After this period, order cancelations will not receive a refund due to the bespoke nature of each commission.
